• Youth (including Stockaders and Tree Climbers) start in Fellowship Hall to hear an introduction to Shape 'n' Race (Pinewood Derby) car construction process and schedule. Bring $10 for your car kit. (Price includes supplies, derby decorations and awards, etc.)

  Press an axle (on a drill press) into your block's axle slots, so the axles will be straight and more easily inserted after your car is all painted and done.

• Wednesday evening activities for children ages 4 (by Dec. 2) through 6th grade. Activities include skits, crafts, Bible exploration, service projects, badge achievement, and lots of fun talking and being with adult leaders.

  Pioneer Club is for children up to 2nd grade and for girls in grades 3rd-6th.

  Stockade (Christian Service Brigade) is for boys in grades 3rd-6th. Dads are encouraged to join with their sons.

• Children's program held congruently to the Women's Connection (Bible Studies, MOMS, and REFUGE).

• The KPBC Midweek Program provides quality care and teaching for children while their parents attend the R&R Service. Our desire is for children to feel secure and happy in our warm and friendly environment as we share the love of Jesus with each child in our care.

• 9 AM setup Band saws, drill presses, belt sander, sand sticks and paper, lead pot

  Children's classes run at the same time as adult worship services and 10am classes (check your children in at 8:30, 10:00, and 11:15).

• Do you sometimes wonder what goes on in your child's Sunday morning class? Do you have concerns, or ideas for how to improve the program? Do you wish you and your child were more connected at church? Then I invite you to attend this first Pray & Plan Meeting.

  Pray & Plan Meetings are designed to help us begin planning for our next academic year (which begins in June). Four meetings are scheduled in the next three months for parents, teachers, and me to dialog, pray, and plan for the elementary classes. These meetings will also be a great way of becoming acquainted with the program we have for your children and for us to learn more about your concerns.

  (Future Meetings: January 25, February 15, March 22)

• PBC's Pioneer Club and Christian Service Brigade is sponsoring their annual Pinewood Derby! Anyone is welcome to participate, even children who are not regular members of Pioneers or Brigade. Workshops to get ready for the big event will be on Wednesday nights 7-8:30pm, Jan 7, 14, and 21 and Saturdays 9:30-11:30am on Jan 10, 17, and 24. Non Pioneer/Brigade kids are welcome to come to the workshops with their parents (who need to stay giving help and supervision), and everyone needs a parent at the Saturday workshops.

  In addition to the regular races for children (ages 4-6th grade), we have a limited number of extra cars for parents and siblings or anyone else who would like to join the all-Comers Race.

  Car kits are $10, and participants provide their own shoe box for storage.

• Our family dedications are a way of welcoming babies and children new to the church into our faith community. Families are invited to join together to celebrate and pray for God's precious little children.
