Have you ever wanted to know what the Bible says about a certain topic? Or wondered how a particular idea or word was used in the Bible? Have you ever been curious about what commentaries had to say about a passage? Or wanted to read about the lives of other Christians? Or would you like to know the meaning of a word in the original text? Or desire to just sit around and chat about a section of Scripture and see where the discussion takes you? Well, we do have an opportunity to do all of these things, and more.
Bible Dig is a drop in opportunity for anyone who wants to dig into God's Word, using the resources of PBC's Theological Library. We have background resources (historical, cultural, literary, and theological) available to give you a richer awareness of the text and the times. Other resources (dictionaries, concordances, word studies, and commentaries) are available to expand your understanding.
Whether you are interested in learning how to research a passage, have a Biblical issue you would like to work through, or just want to "rabbit trail" in a comfortable and friendly environment, come drop by Bible Dig any Tuesday morning. Gail Efting is there to answer questions, help you find what you need, or chat with you about any Biblical issue (everything is a Biblical issue). The water is always ready for tea, and you are always welcome!
